Docklands Waterways

A significant feature of Docklands is the seven kilometres of waterfront overlooking Victoria Harbour, Yarra River and Moonee Ponds Creek. New world-class marinas and facilities plus a diverse range of activities and events are shaping Docklands to become Victoria’s most significant integrated boating destination.

Water Activities

Docklands offers an exceptional location for high profile water events and festivals including yachting, dragon boat racing, wake boarding and boat shows. Wide promenades and public open spaces support these events with land activities and provide ideal viewing areas.

A great way to enjoy Docklands and its water activities is from the water while relaxing on a private boat or taking a corporate, sightseeing or dinner cruise. Or use the water to move from Docklands to other parts of Melbourne. You might like to charter a boat to get to Crown Entertainment Centre or other areas of Southbank.

The 40 hectares of deep sheltered waters beside the Melbourne CBD where Victoria Harbour, Yarra River and Moonee Ponds Creek meet, allows boat owners to cruise into the city centre and stay for as long as they like.

Docklands Marina

Visitors can select from public and private berthing facilities at four state-of-the-art marinas that will offer around 800 public and private berths when development is complete. Accessing all marinas is easy from Port Phillip Bay, and several offer dedicated public berthing facilities for day trippers, overnighters or an extended stay as a base to enjoy Docklands, Melbourne and its premier events. Docklands also supports super yachts with the super yacht marina.
