Unprecedented demand for early morning departures has made it necessary for SkyBus to dramatically increase its early morning schedule to Melbourne Airport.
Simon Cowen, SkyBus Managing Director, said a change in air travel patterns and increased use of public transport has seen a need for SkyBus to increase its services.
“The additional morning services were attributed to Melbourne Airport’s recent announcement of more flights out of Melbourne Airport. “We are operating extra services between 4.30 am to 6 am - departing every 10 minutes until late evening from Southern Cross Station to Melbourne Airport return. No pre-bookings are necessary,” Mr Cowen said.
These additional 22 services daily will increase the number of trips to more than 230 trips a day, operating between Melbourne Airport and the city.
